DO YOU OFFER A SLIDING SCALE?

Not at this time. Our prices reflect the real costs of running a small, high-quality clinical practice; our rates allow us to provide individual, attentive care to each patient. If these rates are truly beyond your means, reach out to see if arrangements can be made. This is not a guarantee and all requests are considered on a case-by-case basis.

what payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, Venmo, Paypal, Apple Pay, or Zelle. Credit/debit cards and FSA/HSA cards are also accepted. Credit/debit cards are subject to a 3% processing fee.

Do you accept insurance?

We accept certain out-of network insurance plans! A more accurate question is a) whether your insurance plan covers acupuncture and b) whether you are covered for out-of-network services. If the answer to both of those questions is yes, some or all of your appointment may indeed be covered.

Please note that many insurance plans have very high deductibles; furthermore, different plans/providers that cover acupuncture offer wildly different and unpredictable payment rates. As such, we may require payment from you out-of-pocket upfront at the time of service until your coverage rates are established (i.e. once the insurance plan reimburses). Once we have received full reimbursement from the insurance company, we will refund you accordingly.

It is also possible to pay out-of-pocket and receive a superbill (coded receipt) from Awakened Alignment which you can submit directly for reimbursement.

Can I pay for acupuncture with my fsa/hsa?

Yes! Many patients use their FSA/HSA plans to pay for acupuncture.

What is your cancellation policy?

Healing work is not only the calling—but also the livelihood—of the practitioners at Awakened Alignment Acupuncture, PC. Each appointment represents a dedicated block of time reserved exclusively for each patient. When a session is canceled without sufficient notice, it affects our ability to maintain a full schedule and prevents another patient from receiving care. Because many appointment times cannot be filled on short notice, we ask for your understanding and cooperation with the following policy:

• A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment without penalty.

• Appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours’ notice may be charged a cancellation fee up to and including the full session rate.

Late Cancellation Fee Structure (within 48 hours or less before appointment time)

To keep this policy fair, consistent, and compassionate:

• First late cancellation: usually forgiven.

• Second late cancellation: charged at 50% of the session fee.

• Third late cancellation and beyond: charged at the full session rate.

• Appointments canceled within 24 hours MAY BE CHARGED UP TO THE FULL RATE AFTER THE FIRST (1ST) OFFENSE.

No-Shows & Late Arrivals

No-shows or appointments canceled/rescheduled within 4 hours of the scheduled start time are charged the full session rate, including first-time occurrences.

Late arrivals more than 15 minutes past the scheduled appointment time cannot be accommodated, are considered no-shows, and are charged at the full session rate.
